Agencies listed in the Community Resource Directory are those who will verify contact information (name, address, phone, and area served) on an annual basis.
Organization Types Included:
- Government
- Cities
- County
- State & Federal service providers serving Nevada County residents
- Nonprofit
- Critical for-profit organizations in health care and recreation
Other for-profit organizations and entities may be included, such as support groups that are not incorporated as organizations or organizations providing discounted recreation or health care programs for community groups.
Geography:
Agencies must either be in Nevada County or providing services to Nevada County and/or Tahoe/Truckee region residents. Local agencies are listed as the primary agency when part of a national or multi-region organization
Service Eligibility Considerations for Membership Organizations:
We reserve the right to exclude agencies only providing services to members.
Stability:
The Community Resource Directory lists national organizations that users can refer to for up-to-date contacts of service organizations and support groups.
Political & Issue-Oriented:
The Community Resource Directory will list non-profit organizations with varied perspectives on political and issue-oriented subjects.
Organizational Viability:
Organizations meeting all the above criteria must be operational for a minimum of six months before being listed in the Community Resource Directory.
